The Mountain Top and the Valley

I just returned from a Counselor Training that was held at Camp Lukenya. It was an excellent three day training! Some of it was a reminder of what I already knew, but other parts I was hearing for the first time. I pray I will never get to the place in my life where I stop learning. It was exciting to see over 70 adults and young adults there at this training, willing to make a difference in the lives of children and teenagers. Each evening we had a preaching service. The Lord really worked on my heart during those evening services and during some of the sessions. As always when you have “mountain top” experiences you will have valleys.

I arrived home and called my family in the States to see how my niece was doing. The doctors had said this would be one of her hardest weeks. Her count was coming back up and then yesterday her liver stopped working. She is swollen tremendously from the poisons in her body. The Doctors have started giving her lasiks (sp?), but so far there has not been much draining off. She hallucinates at times and is in great pain. The Doctors at this point are just trying to get her liver to start working again. I know you all have been praying for her and I greatly appreciate it! Now I would like to ask you to specifically pray that her liver starts working. The Lord is good all the time! I believe it, no matter what happens.
