Nyama Choma Na Chapoti

This week went by so fast. We went back up to Nanyuki on Thursday. This time we took the dog. He is really enjoying the big yard! There is lots of space to explore. =) The painting of the house is going well. We found an electrician that is good and not charging us Mzungu (white person) price. The plumber has been a different story.

We had a great Sunday here in Nanyuki. You can see the top Mt. Kenya every day and today was beautiful!!!!! We went to church this morning and had a great service. This afternoon we went back to help with the Awana program. The kids really enjoy playing the games. Then they split up in their groups for the verse time. Andrew and Anna went with one group to help listen to verses. Abigail and I went with another group. I want to say I heard at least 65 verses if not more. It was a joy to hear these kids memorizing God’s Word.

For supper I took Andrew, Anna, and Abigail to a restaurant a friend of mine started here in town. They have really taken to eating Kenyan food. We had nyama choma (roasted meat), cabbage, and chapoti for supper. Benson and Esther, some of our new friends here in Nanyuki are over and they have started the Uno game. I think I will close this post for now and go join the game. =)
