Nothing Happens by Chance or Luck

Last Sunday I joined our group of teachers in teaching Sunday school. I will only be teaching once a month, but this month I had two Sundays in a row. Some of our teachers are gone right now. I have the 9 to 11 year olds along with a few 8 year olds. They are so much fun!!!! We started a series last Sunday on Esther. The truth we went home with today was that God wants us to obey Him because His plan is best. Nothing happens by chance or by luck. God is in control and there is a reason behind the good and the bad that happens to us. Our memory verse was Jeremiah 7:23 “…and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.” They each went home with a paper with seven verses on it. Each verse is a command from God for us to obey. As they obey each of God’s commands this week they are to check them off. I am happy to be teaching Sunday school again and can’t wait to be teaching in Swahili again!!
