Playing Baseball in Timau

We had a wonderful day today out at our Timau Boys Orphanage. I had two friends, Anne and Benson, go with me to help. I worked on updating the files on each of the boys and getting new photos since the last ones didn't turn out very well. There was one little guy that was new and so I had to get his basic information from him. As I asked him about his parents he began to weep so hard. It broke my heart. One of the older boys was there and he put his arm around the younger one. I leaned over and began to talk to him about the fact that he now had so many brothers who loved him and that I loved him as well. The crying began to stop and there was a small smile on his face as I told him that even though we loved him, God loved him even more.

When all the paperwork and files were finished we went out and played a game of baseball.

Someone had already taught them some about baseball, but it had been awhile and they had forgotten some of it. So we started with a few instructions and the dividing up of teams.

Second baseman got ready.

First baseman was ready and waiting.

They caught on really well. The game ended with it being 12-11.

The younger boys looked so cute!!!!
