This Week

I was excited to start teaching my second piano student on Monday! Tuesday I had some things fixed on my vehicle and got it back on Wednesday. I had a plumber come to do a one day job on Thursday. Well, that one day job became two days and he is still not done. =( On Friday one of our 6th grade boys responded to the invitation at chapel. I had the privilege of seeing him come to Christ!

Only in Kenya would we have a scheduled power out on Sunday. Even with the power being out, we had a great service. One of our Kenyan missionaries that we support in Tanzania was back giving us a report and preaching. I knew him and his family before they went to Tanzania as missionaries. It was good to see him again and pictures of the family! In the next couple of weeks we will being hearing from some of our other Kenyan missionaries that we, the Mt. Kenya Baptist Church supports.

AWANA has started back up again and we had another wonderful afternoon with the kids. The youth pastor and I take turns teaching the lessons during counsel time. Today was my turn and the lesson was on God creating Eve. I took the opportunity to teach the kids about how God made us different from His other creations. He gave us a soul with a mind, will and emotions.

The day ended with a visit to the café where I enjoyed a spiced cappuccino and spent some time studying one of my LBU courses.
