My Parents and Sister’s Visit (part 3)

The next morning we woke up and had a lovely breakfast as we watched more elephants come to the watering hole.  Then we headed out of the park and made our way on to Nyahururu.  We checked into our Kenyan hotel ($12 a night), changed clothes and arrived at the Bible Baptist Church for lunch.  They had a ladies meeting that afternoon and mom had been asked to speak to the ladies.  It was a wonderful afternoon!  That night we went to Pastor Philip and Gladys’s house for dinner.  Ever since I have had the privilege of getting to know Pastor and Gladys I have looked forward to the day my parents would get to meet them.  We had a wonderful time of visiting and enjoyed a delicious Kenyan meal!

The next day was Sunday and we headed to church were dad taught the Adult Bible Study while Rebekah and I attended the Youth class together.  It was dad’s first time to speak through an interpreter and he was very nervous.  From the little I could hear through the wall I thought he did really well.  Rebekah and I had the joy of singing a special in the church service.  I have missed singing with my sisters.  After church there was a baptism service for Bible Baptist and the sister churches Grace Baptist and Aberdare Baptist.  27 were baptized!  I got to see a whole family baptized as a result of the children coming to Vacation Bible School!  Praise the Lord!  A whole family saved, baptized and coming to church together!
