On Sunday afternoon we packed up and headed back to Nanyuki. There were so many things dad wanted to help me with in my house and we were down to just a week before they would leave. 41kms out of Nyahururu the crankshaft pulley came off my car and broke fan belts in the process. The nut had been missing for months. I was so glad my dad was there! The Lord is good!! We managed to walk down the road, get a phone signal and get a hold of Pastor Philip. Soon he, the mechanic and a deacon in the church were on their way to tow us back to Nyahururu. As we waited for them we had some great “side of the road” experiences! We all had our turn in using the Kenyan bush as a toilet, kids came by to watch my dad work and we even had one guy pull up his wheel barrow and sit down in it just to watch us. We also watched a beautiful Kenyan sunset!! Two days later we arrived at my home in Nanyuki.
Mom was so brave she took dad with her. =)
He watched us for an hour before moving on. Lol!
Wednesday night my dad had the privilege of speaking to all the boarders at the Mt. Kenya Baptist School (primary). He did a great job relating to them! Before he spoke Rebekah taught them a really fun action song which they all loved. =)
There were 97 kids!
The next morning I took Rebekah to the standard four class there at the school. She taught them their Bible lesson for the day as well as the song she had taught the boarders the night before. What a blast! I also enjoyed seeing my little sister teach!
